Education Deserves a Level Playing Field
Every year, thousands of meritorious Class 12 students are forced to abandon higher education due to financial constraints. This foundation exists to change that — one scholar at a time.
🎓

Direct Financial Support

Scholarship funds are transferred directly to the student's bank account, covering tuition fees, books, and academic materials for the first year of higher education.

Pure Merit-Based

Selection is based entirely on academic performance, financial need, and personal achievement. No donations, recommendations, or influence of any kind.

📋

Simple Process

A straightforward online application — no entrance tests, no interviews. Just your marks, documents, and a personal statement.

🔁

Renewable Award

Scholars maintaining academic standards may apply for renewal in subsequent years, subject to performance review and fund availability.

Our Promise to You

Every rupee received by this Foundation goes towards student scholarships. We publish annual accounts and selection results publicly. No government funding is received or sought — we are sustained entirely by private donors who believe in Indian youth.

Applications for 2025–26 Are Open

Class 12 students who have appeared or will appear in Board exams this year are eligible to apply now.

A Private Foundation, Rooted in Purpose
We are a registered private non-profit foundation, fully independent of any government body, ministry, or public institution. Our work is funded entirely by individual and corporate donors.

Our Mission

To ensure that no meritorious Class 12 student is denied the opportunity to pursue higher education due to financial hardship — by providing direct, unconditional scholarship support backed by a transparent, fair selection process.

Who We Are

An independent private foundation founded by educators and professionals who believe merit should be the only barrier to higher education. We operate without political affiliation or government mandate.

How We're Funded

Entirely through private donations from individuals, trusts, and corporations. No public funds are used. Donation records and scholarship disbursements are audited annually by an independent CA firm.

Governing Body

A Board of Trustees comprising retired educators, chartered accountants, and social sector professionals oversees operations. The Selection Committee is fully independent of the Board.

Transparency

Annual reports, selection criteria, and shortlists are published publicly on this website. Any student may raise a grievance and receive a written response within 15 working days.

Important Notice: The BharatScholar Foundation is a private entity. Our formal, structured process is designed to reflect the seriousness with which we treat every applicant's future — not to imply any government affiliation. We are registered as a non-profit under applicable Indian laws and operate independently.
